June 30th, 2014 &#8211; 9:30 to 13:00 <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Goldsmiths, University of London<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"color: #000000;\">\n<div>Computer music tools for music notation have long been restricted to conventional approaches and dominated by\u00a0a few systems, mainly oriented towards music engraving. During the last decade and driven by artistic and\u00a0technological evolutions, new tools and new forms of music representation have emerged. The recent advent of\u00a0systems like Bach, MaxScore or INScore (to cite just a few), clearly indicates that computer music notation tools\u00a0have become mature enough to diverge from traditional approaches and to explore new domains and usages such\u00a0as interactive and live notation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The aim of the workshop is to gather artists, researchers and application developers, to compare the views and the\u00a0needs inspired by contemporary practices, with a specific focus on interactive and live music, including\u00a0representational forms emerging from live coding. Special consideration will be given to new instrumental forms\u00a0emerging from the NIME community.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Registration<i> <\/i><\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Workshop attendees must register for NIME for at least one of Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (see\u00a0here) but\u00a0don&rsquo;t pay for the workshop day.
